Established in 1984, the Shreveport Metropolitan Concert Band is the premier community band in Shreveport, Louisiana. The SMCB is the oldest, continuously operating community band in Shreveport, and is located at Grace Community Church in Shreveport. There are over 70 members, from all walks of life, and ranging in age from high school to over 80.

Weekly Rehearsals
Our rehearsals are held every Monday evening, 7 - 9 PM at the Grace Community Church Warehouse, 9400 Ellerbe Rd (just north of the Camp Forbing Marketplace shopping center).

After 11 plus years as Music Director and Principal Conductor,
Mr. LeBlanc has decided to step away from the podium but continue with the band in our horn section.
We are therefore, seeking a new Director.

Give For Good is a one day - 24 hour event to benefit
non-profit organizations in Northwest Louisiana.
The Band is one of those non-profits and we need your support to continue to bring great concert band music to northwest Louisiana and east Texas. The giving date is Tuesday, May 5, 2026. But early donations will be accepted starting April 22nd!!!
